Yeah I went to that link before, and all that turned up for Correctional Officer 1 was a couple spots in Nome for females. I have visited the sites for the Palmer and Wasilla centers, not sure if I would like those, but the Palmer one might be ok since it is a medium level yard. The one by Wasilla is a farm, probably hard to get into just like the "Honor Camps" here in NV.
I did see on the job site the recruitment for state troopers though, and MAN they pay good. Not sure about trying that route though, for the same reason I never tried it here in NV... after your academy, you could be sent anywhere in the state, and I don't like that idea. Could you imagine being a NV Highway Patrolman in Las Vegas? YIKES! Talk about crazy drivers... not as bad as Salt Lake City, but still gnarly nonetheless.

So I came to the conclusion, I will need to find a "regular" job like I have now at first, and work on the good jobs after I establish residency. I figure I will be able to better figure out how to apply for them if I actually LIVE nearby, and can talk to people that work at them. So parts stores, and Ford or Yamaha dealerships it is.
So that makes me ask the next question for those of you in the Palmer/Wasilla area. What is your preferred auto parts store in the area, since everyone has their favorites if they buy a lot, and if any of you ride Yamaha's, where do you go for your parts and goodies?
The reason I am asking, is I don't want to work somewhere that has a bad rep. When I left the Ford/Yamaha/Suzuki dealership I worked at, both of the auto parts stores and the lone cycle shop wanted to hire me. I chose the one with the best reputation, because if I went to a place with a bad rep, I would be uncomfortable working with people that don't know jack. Plus after I changed jobs, all my old customers from the old Ford/Yamaha dealership saw me at the new place, and were like, "well I know where I am going for my parts now!"
Ironically I am a people person when it comes to work, but off work, I am a friggin recluse.

I see there are two Ford dealerships in the area, Nye Frontier in Wasilla, and Cal Worthington in Anchorage. Any input from Ford owners?
There are four Yamaha dealerships in the area, Performance, Alaska House, Eagle River, and Anchorage. Judging from what I have seen on the websites, Performance Yamaha seems like the best, and they are the only five star certified one in the area. But that doesn't really mean they are the best.

ANYWAY, here I am with massive text again... sheesh.
Thanks for any input you all give, I will appreciate it. The big move is coming someday, just have to get the finances in order.

HAHA! Too much!
How dare they? Oh wait, most of the parts for my 1990 T-Bird SC are obsolete as well...
Yeah ya gotta love Ford OEM parts, if it is about ten years old and not used in newer vehicles, they quit making the part. Jerks.
My T-Bird is parked because it's brakes are out, and I can't get parts for it unless I want to spend well over a grand for the whole hydraulic assembly for the ABS. I have considered putting in a plain master cylinder and booster from a non supercharged T-Bird, but I have doubts that it would fit.

Default most irritating man in Alaska

Based on his TV commercials, Cal Worthington is by far the most irritating man in Alaska. I had pretty good luck with their service dept., but then I also knew one of the techs and he always steered me right. Their sales dept. is pathetic, the usual bunch of snake-oil vendors.
