Goodbye. I'm glad to hear you're going to stop trolling this thread with your ignorance. It's been rather obvious that your only purpose in this thread was to slam Alaska because you didn't like the ex-governor.
By the way, you did mention Palin in this thread (and your standard flip little joke wasn't even original though that comes as no surprise); another lie on your part I see.

You're right of course. The person seems to "think" that the PFD comes from federal tax dollars.
And I don't know where the idjit got this

Where is "home", Boompa? I don't think you realize that Alaska is actually a state.
It would not be in the best interests of the American people to take "your" military home. That's why you're paying for them to be here. Sorry that you so highly resent your federal tax dollars going to support the military.

Hell, the person didn't even appear to know that Alaska is a state.
For all of you whiners who think you have a point when you bleat some Huff-Po regurgitated garbage about the fed. money that goes to AK, bear in mind that it largely goes to your military. You need us a hell of a lot more than we need you.
My offer of the change in my fish truck ashtray still stands; any urban liberal who feels "cheated" because of the PFD can send me their address and I'll mail them the change; it'll be enough to buy about half a latte and Star-yups.

Can I really get paid just for living in Alaska?
In this economy, that Alaska oil stipend or whatever the heck it is that everybody gets just for being a resident of Alaska is starting to look tempting. What is the lowdown on that? Is it limited only to US citizens and indigenous native Alaskans? How long do you have to live in Alaska to qualify?
Hell, I'll set up a tent and uncork the anti-bear spray and wait this sucker out. Then in the spring I'll head to town for some BK and Taco Bell after a winter of eating dirt and berries and stalking cute Tlingit teens through the tundra. Then a quick stop over at Sarah Palin's offices to grab my paycheck just for lollygaggin' around in the great state of Alaska.
Then a quick look on the 'Nets to see if the economy is still in complete shambles ('Yup, it will be...), then it'd be back into the tundra for me and my new gang, and hopefully more adequately prepared and stocked up for the second year.
Maybe I could find that old school bus like in the movie. Heck, I wouldn't be too proud to try that old hand-crank pulley to get me over the flooded Susitna and you wouldn't catch me eatin' those poison plants neither, just stick with the old green buds myself, tried and true works every time!
Now after that, then I reckon, well...hmmm, that's thinkin' too far ahead. We'll just take 'er as she comes.....
