I suggest two signs:
Warning: Caution....flat tires
Warning: trespassers will be shot, any survivors will be shot again! (didn't say paintball or ammo!) hahaha
I sure a heck would think twice before going onto the land.

SUCCESS!

Got their names off of their mailbox (D'oh!) and some pictures of the trail by their house + crappy 4- wheelers. Called their CO, had a nice long chat. He did not sound happy. At all. He promised I wouldn't see them again.

Called their landlord. He also was not impressed, and assured me that it wouldn't happen again, and if need be, I can have some of their deposit put towards bringing rock in to fill their ruts.

Posted "flate tire" signs. I had two kids on dirtbikes stop and ask me what I meant. "Here, come and find out!" they didn't take me up on that.

Yeah- it's nice to have people that care about private property here in AK- for every couple of jerks that don't know any better, there are 30 people who put property rights up there with gun rights!

Glad you had success. I am sure I have been guilty of riding on someone's private property, unintentionally. With that said, if someone came out and let me know it was private property I would avoid it and certainly not tear it up. Glad you had success, great job! I love the Flat Tires sign.

Those signs will work great for you, have used them in the past!

When you put a "No Trespassing" sign, most ignore it, but if you do the "Caution, Flat Tires", that makes them all of a sudden take stock in that warning... it has an immediate response...

My favorite one was "No Trespassing, Survivors will be eaten"... Kinda gets you right in the old heart don't it!

Roofing nails and spike strips work for me, i also have placed huge logs and trees in the path and covered them with fresh poinson ivy. It helps to put something on the piles of wood to deter them from just picking it up and moving it, cow dung, dog dung etc, i used my chainsaw to cut down a few 50
