Actually, I had that idea. I'll see if I can work that out.

Might be a bit of a hassle to get my truck to the ville. I could just take one of those...oh what do you call them...sled dog taxi thingies, should I need to go somewhere.

This year was one of the best years for driving on the ice road, not much snow all year and it was so smooth. We had access to all the tundra villages, Napakiak, Napaskiak, Oscarville, Kwethluk, Akiakchak, Akiak, Tuluksak, Upper and Lower Kalskag, Aniak, Chuathbaluk, and Napaimute. It was a fun winter!

Umm...haven't heard anything about it. Is that for a particular district or is something set up for statewide new hires, perhaps? Sounds interesting.

Thank you for the congratulations.

Hey congratulations RDawg! I moved up here from middle TN a few months ago. You'll love it here. The people are great, it's absolutely beautiful, the weather is turning nice, no tornadoes like they are having down south right now, no humidity in the summer no ticks or gnats or snakes on the trails . Adventure of a lifetime I think. Best of luck!

Gnats? There's plenty of those here in the late summer!

We just hit the basement yesterday, my daughter was at urgent care when the tornado sirens went off, so she got examined in the basement of the Clinic. In the end not big deal though the tornado never made up to us in the end. What kinds of bugs do you all have up there, here we have started our yearly war on ants, and soon will be fruit fly season, not to mention the chiggers and ticks as well as mosquitoes we battle.
