We're relocating to Cordova in August and I'm looking for some average grocery costs so I can get an idea of what our new grocery budget will be, if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
Ground beef, 1 lb Milk, 1 gallon Butter, 1 lb Eggs, 1 doz Coke product, 12 pack Coffee, name brand (eg folgers) brick Bread, sliced packaged loaf Beer, American (eg. Miller or Bud) 12 pk cans Shampoo, cheapie type eg, suave Pasta Can tomatoes Can corn Thanks!!! |

What an eye opener! Lovely place to visit but the cost-of-living is astronimical. Transportation costs increase product costs. See below .....

The prices are definitely higher than we had in the lower 48, but having lived in Hawaii in the recent past they are comparable to there.I'm finding ground beef to be about $4.50 a lb and milk around $5.50 a gallon, the other prices seem similar to your examples though! Oh except gas- it is OVER $4 a gallon now! Good thing we can't drive much of anywhere I guess, lol! |
