Another mindless government policy, filtered though the mouth of an equally mindless reporter. How could anyone draw a rational conclusion from anything being reported in the media these days?

It's hard to come up with a strong enough adjective to accurately describe the devastation from clear-cutting in WA. What qualifies as "responsible" logging boggles the mind. CC was kind enough to inform me that Alaska has it's share of the same. I'm sure this latest land rape will result in lots of oil spills, trash, and general degradation of once pristine lands.

When I take the dogs down to the beach, I can look in any direction and see a clearcut.

Before Mr BS republican jumps in the defend what he actually knows nothing about....the Forest Circus is every bit as corrupt as the Mineral Management Service

They are in the pocket of the timber industry, have been for years with the help of The Smirking Chimp Administration, who attempted to gut all regulations nationwide

Given the opportunity they would clear-cut all of Alaska and then want unemployment when they ran outta trees to cut...

This is what takes place when ya put the Alaska Forest Circus is charge of timber sales.

And before anyone jumps in with their talk of forest fires...the Tongass is a rain forest. We don't have forest fires here, though I think that once Stiffy lit the woods on fire behind his place when he lived in Ketch.

Interesting; I thought that most right wing nuts were strongly anti-federal government.
