and ours...must be 30 feet high. They're doing a great job too; it's well made and will look good when finished.

I wish my neighbors would bulild a 30 foot fence! They have this four foot fence on the property line so I had a six foot fence put up in front of it (maximum height allowed by city ordinance). Doesn't help. My property sits higher than theirs. Oh well, I'm only home a few weeks a year.

Reminds me of a place I lived quite awhile ago that had some kind of weird ordinance that you could only have a four foot fence around your house (this was all on city lots). I read the ordinance and one of the reasons given was that taller fences aren't "conducive" to something they termed "neighborhood friendliness", wtf.

Fence on three sides of my property has the 'pretty side' facing the street. When my neighbor saw that we were putting in fence posts on the fourth side, he told me the 'pretty side' had to face his property! He said it was the city's 'good neighbor ordinance'. Bull chips! I was going to do that for uniformity but he pissed me off and I put the pretty side facing my property.

Sounds like an idjit.

I really like my neighbors; known him most of my life and she works for us now and then. They're putting up some luxury type cabins though and I guess the view of our processing plant's employee restroom isn't exactly upscale, wtf. But they aren't in any hurry; it isn't being slapped up like that POS in Whitesilla.

Ummm..I'm sure that police and burglars would really be happy to find out why anybody puts a 30ft high fence around their property.
The best security is keeping a LOW profile.

They aren't putting the fence around their entire property and building a stockade; just on the side that borders our fish processing facility. They'll still be visible from the road and the other two sides are just nice wooded areas. The only thing they are trying to hide is the view of our place from their tourist vacationers. And to be honest, since it's the view of the back of the plant, I don't blame them.

Ummm..so instead of seeing and smelling the plant, know people have to ask "Why is the fence so tall?" or "What's behind the fence?"
Hmm..well thought out plan that....LOL
