Maybe not so bad in Anchorage or some of the other bigger towns...but in my area...it's bad. Real bad.

Since I'm not single, and the prospects for my holding any other marital status are not good, answering about the single life in Alaska is pretty much beyond my ken, so to speak. I have young guys living with me (my sons, if you haven't caught any of my other posts with references to them). They all seem to be quite happy here in Anchorage with the current female population and its availability.
But, I digress. Looking around town, and the amount of pretty women wandering around loose (Isn't there a leash law?), I'd say that an average guy with the bare essentials of hygiene and manners ought to do OK. I see some beautiful women with some outrageously ugly guys. (Are they blind?) If a guy was to make an effort to clean up his act, and attempt to make his place into something other than a teenager's idea of utopia, he ought to be a prime catch. JMHO, as always.
