My brother works for a BMW dealership and my father owns his own garage. Don't assume winter will be very slow. If it's a very snowy winter, then there will be a lot of potholes. Those lead to lovely broken pieces and must be repaired as you know. Some winters, both my dad and brother are up to their eyeballs in work. In winters like this past one, they're not busy with the usually winter woos, but they still have work. Inspections and repairs for inspections are required no matter how bad the weather.
