Sorry...I see some folks have responded to similar post I made several months back. Would like to delete this post...not sure how.

My family is traveling in the Northeast in early Oct. We need to make some reservations for the last leg of our trip, which will be 2 nights in or near either the Catskills of NY or Northeast or Eastern PA.

Our goals are
1) Scenic Foliage ideally away from crowds. (parks, short hikes, water, drives) We’ll be there on weekdays, so hopefully we can find some quieter places.
2) Visit Farm (apples, cider, etc)
3) Inexpensive-Moderate priced accomodations (lodge, vacation rental, hotel).

I know that timing varies year to year, but we need to hone in on an area now so we can start planning and make some reservations.

Thanks for any help,

Not sure of a route for a nice ride since I hate the fall but every fall I try to get to the Carrot Barn in Schoharie. Best food around. You literally won't stop buying food until your wallet forces you to stop.
