Default Albany City Jobs

It seems like the job market is pretty decent in Albany. I am an Admin making a good hourly rate here in NYC. My husband is an Assistant Director of an Art distribution very small company (so his title is not actually so grand), that also deals with fine arts. He is a hard worker and got where he is in his company because he is honest and bright. The only thing is that we both don't have college degrees. So I know I could probably get an easy secretary or Admin job ( I work for a big banking institution in Manhattan), but not sure where he should look. He has had Drafting experience in the past, and works photoshop, illustrator, microsoft suite, myob, filemaker pro....basically he does a lot in his position... Any suggestions? I know that there are a lot of civil service jobs, but not sure where to fit into that. Basically because we both have such great jobs here it's going to be hard to leave for $10-$12/hr. Wish we could take the jobs with us, but NY is really depressing sometimes. We used to live in a nice "swanky" brooklyn neighborhood but were priced out, now we are in a not so swanky but safe neighborhood in Queen/ brooklyn but No restaurants or cafes. It seems like parts of Albany offer decent housing prices, and a good mix of restaurants bars and cafes. Thanks.
