i have an interview coming up in downtown albany (washington & swan). i was going to drive up with my husband so he could deal with the car, but now he won't be able to make it. the interviewer mentioned that it's very hard to park around there. does anyone have any suggestions of places to park nearby (either free or not too crazy expensive, like under 10 bucks for a couple of hours), or is there a park & ride or other location where i can leave my car and take a bus in? i will be coming in from connecticut.

The corner state and swan has plenty of Meter parking. Generally it wouldn't be to hard to find a spot about a block away. There are spots all up and down Washington and state street.

thank you! maybe she was referring to parking on a daily basis for the job and not parking for a quick visit to the office.

do you happen to know how much time you can put on a meter?

Total time? At least 12 hours, because I've done it before! Albany meters also take credit cards as well as bills and change.

Ya my recommendation would be to just drive down Washington and state. You're bound to find something.

Some of the older meters, especially the ones at spaces that allow 12 hour parking, don't take credit cards, so bring quarters too!
