Yes, I think they lost a few girls a couple of years ago. There is an oppressed spirit working in that area, for some reason, especially in the Hamilton Hill area, the worst area in Schenectady.
However, Schenectady is making a nice comeback in the downtown area with great restaurants, a nice movie place, Proctors', new YMCA.
Its a peaceful place to live and very affordable, if you can handle the winters, you are good.
My suggestion is try to get a state job, because that is all there is up there.
