I'm going to be in the vicinity later this month. I've looked at the area via Google Earth and know that the plant was torn down a while back. My question is this: there was a stone which Ford and members of his 'illustrious vagabonds' carved their initials upon; it was later used as a cornerstone for the plant. Is anyone familiar with this, and if so, would you know if it is kept anywhere in the vicinity? Or did it also fall victim to the wrecking ball?
One other question -- was the hydro plant painted over, or do any outlines of the 'Ford Motor Company' remain? I can't tell if the top of the building is being blurred by Google, or if it has been covered over.
I was hoping to take a few photos. Seeing as some of the area looks questionable, I don't want to get myself into any trouble. Your help is appreciated.
