I received a parking ticket in Albany about 6 years ago, and just received a letter that I now owe $115 instead of $25 now. Is there a statue of limitation on parking tickets, should I go to Albany Court to sort it out or just pay?

Thank you,
Mark

Pay it! It's only $115 bucks! I got my 1 and only speeding ticket outside of Albany almost 10 years ago ( I live out of state)... lost the ticket before I could pay it. I'm nervous as hell what's gonna happen with that, especially since I'm in the process of moving back! Yikes

Parking tickets are money makers for municipalities and Albany is no exception. Contesting it is not an option. You are as likely to win that as your average Russian was to win a grievance in the communist Soviet Union.

Make sure to pay by check, get a certified copy of the cashed check from your bank and keep it.
