I've been in the area for 10 years, but until now I have never needed to think about childcare, so I didn't give it much thought. I am now pregnant. I have been using a combination of Google and the OCFS day care database search, but I am coming up with relatively few GOOD day care centers that offer infant care. Either they just cater to toddlers and preschoolers, or the have infant care but are riddled with OCFS violations.
Based on where my husband and I work and live, we'd be willing to go anywhere in the general Albany or Troy metro areas. Anyone have any suggestions? Two of the ones I am considering are Albany Med's Day Care Center, and related, Samaritan's/St. Peter's Day Care center... but that's an awfully short list, and since neither of us are employees of the hospitals, I worry about the wait list.
