For those interested in moving to the area or Upstate, this could be a guide as to where you could or should look.

When it comes to second homes, one county in New York stands out from all the others: Hamilton County.

A full 84% of homes in the county, which includes Long Lake and Blue Mountain Lake, are seasonal. The next on the list? Essex County, the home of Lake Placid and Schroon Lake, with 33% of houses being seasonal.

We took a look at the counties within a 100-mile radius of Albany to see where the most seasonal homes are concentrated. The hot spots for these getaways span upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Check out the slideshow above to see the top 20 counties for second homes within 100 miles of Albany.

Yeah 40 of the 50 homes in Hamilton County are definitely seasonal. lol jk

Makes sense though. I'd love to have a seasonal home in Essex. Can't ask for a better summer/fall place to be. We love the car ferry over to VT.
