"The Albany metro area has become more prosperous in the last decade, but a significant part of the population is being left behind as the area's racial inclusion and equity divide grow larger.
Between 2009 and 2019, the metro area saw its average annual wage increase by 10.6% and its standard of living improve by 17.8%, according to a new analysis from the Brookings Institution. The public policy group in D.C. looked at the economic health of almost 200 regions throughout the country, tracking the years after the Great Recession."
