Default Albany Neighborhoods (or Suburbs) With Good Restaurant Options?

I'm going to be in Albany a couple of times over the next several days and was wondering which neighborhoods (or suburbs) of Albany have good dining options. Outdoor dining, offbeat places, and unique spots would be preferred, and I'm definitely looking for casual restaurants. Oh, and no chains. Thanks!

Lark Street is your best option...the area around where Central/Western meet has some interesting ethnic eateries also.

lark street for sure! if you like burritos/mexican food, go to bombers, its classic. Lark also has pizza, thai food, indian food, fried chicken, coffee shops, Dejohns is great too! Also theres great chinese food on central and north lake (ichiban) and a good assortment of little restaurants on madison between north main and north allen (juniors, pekings)
