Default Moving to Capital District from South Jersey.....

My family and I are moving to the Albany area from South Jersey. We really like Saratoga County....especially the Saratoga Springs, Wilton, Schuylerville area. We have three children (two of which are in grade school). I have done a lot of research online about the school districts but I would like to get some feedback from parents that have children attending these schools. In particular, we are looking at the Saratoga Springs School District (Dorothy Nolan Elementary/Saratoga Middle/Saratoga HS). I understand the graduating classes are large. Also, we are interested in the Schuylerville School District. I know the graduating classes are a lot smaller than at Saratoga but I would, again, appreciate any feedback from parents who have children attending Schuylerville. My husband and I want to make the best decision for our children so we do not have to move again. Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Default Schuylerville

We live in Schuylerville and have relocated from NJ. Although we don't have children of school age, Schuylerville schools are excellent. My daughter is a teacher in VT and she is aware of the high reputation of Schuylerville. Our neighbor's children attend the schools and the parents are extremely pleased with their education.

Ellwood, thank you so much for the feedback. My husband and I are leaning more and more towards the Schuylerville School District. We have a real estate agent working with us and I am also looking online. It seems like it is difficult finding a family, friendly, young neighborhood in Schuylerville. Not too many homes out there for sale. We are considering building but really would like to be in by the holidays. Thanks again for your very important feedback.

Look into Brampton Woods a subdivision off of Colebrook Rd off HWy 50. It is in Schuylerville SD, nice setting outside of the village only 10 minutes to downtown Saratoga Springs

Brampton Woods is beautiful, reasonable and built by Mike Waldron. Mike builds energy efficient, well constructed and meticulous homes. AND ABOVE ALL HE'S HONEST! We bought one of his homes on a spot lot and couldn't be happier. He did a lot of additional work on our house and he was always on schedule and within his budget.
Brampton Woods

I have a friend who owns a house there, it's a beautiful house and he seems very happy with it.
