Voorheesville
You are right on in your observation of our community. The kids are generally good kids and are considerate. Several months ago, I moved out of Voorheesville and moved to Piscataway NJ. I was just home sick. I did not feel that same sense of community there, the school was not up to par etc. I was lucky enough to move back to my same neighboorhood 5 months later.Thank you for your post. Voorheesville is the greatest place to live and I will never leave.

if you want good schools take a look at the Gloversville Enlarged School district. Just try and live just outside Gloversville. I live there and am trying to get out. the school is great though my children have done so well, and I have one child with special needs and they have taken great care of her.

Is the city of Gloversville, "bad" or something? I find that hard to believe.

well it in itself is not bad, but there are very few clean areas of town it just looks like such a mess all the time. It seems all of my neighbors are, and pardon my mouth, scub bags. Throwing trash in the yards and such instead of putting at the curb that kind of stuf. Alot of the homes are very very run down as they are old and have not been properly cared for.
There are some very nice areas towards the outskirts of town but that is about it. I do love the school system though they have done very well with my children and have provided alot of the special services that my 1 child needs.

I can see it being a more "blue-collar" looking small city, but I couldn't see it as being bad in terms of say crime, which it isn't.
