Default Abadoned Buildings near 12831-12866

Obviously not the typical question being asked here regaurding Saratoga Springs, I would say. I already live here, don't care about housing, tourism, etc, etc. but I am however, looking for abandoned buildings.

I certainly won't be getting around until thaw for walking/biking, aanndd car travel may take some time but I'd like to get a list down.

So heres some areas that I can definately get at:
Wilton, Saratoga Springs (both in town at outlying areas), Greenfield, Schylerville perhaps, and when the weather is better pretty much anywhere thars uner four hours away.

So houses, shacks, cemetaries, asylums, industrial areas, whatever abadoned old decrepid place you think of, I'd love to go there.

I also heard theres an old asylum around here... somewhere. I just don't know where. So give me adresses/ genaral ideas please. I'd rather not get some general area. That's not nice, to make somebody wander about.

You looking for a nice, quiet place to skin a goat or to just take some photos? I'd hate to see anyone get arrested or shot. That might make a fun album cover too though...

I know of some areas around Ballston Spa. The corner of Bath and Hamilton has a creepy really old remains of some mill along Gordon creek. However, some of that is currently in use. There's an old abandoned retail area on Pleasant St that weirds me out when I walk by. Rocky City Falls has an old mill on 29 and around Emigh Road, along the Kayaderosseras. There's an abandoned house on Division Street, a couple of block north of South Street. I think these are all private property so....

I don't know of any asylums. We could really use one though.

I had a feeling that's why you were asking. I recently completed a painting of the Factory in Ballston Spa and currently working on a larger piece:

Greg Klein Art

Most of the places I mentioned should have a decent spot that you can paint/draw from without much of an issue, ie there's a sidewalk or a large patch grass on the side of the road (in the case of the Rock City Falls mill).
