Maybe you mean the radio station:

WAMC Northeast Public Radio

It was in the context of politically moderate or something; it must be the radio station. Click on it and see if that makes more sense than the running group.

I remember always thinking, "What the heck is WAMC?! There's even a TV station for it?" And then I was in Albany with my sister a few months ago and we drove by the building and I said, "sadly, I knew that, but it just never clicked..." Lol.
