I just got back from upstate NY the other day. Our annual leaf excursion. I agree with you. The colors in previous years were a lot more vibrant than this year. We traveled around the Adirondacks (Lake George, Saratoga), northern Catskills and even western VT. The colors seemed a bit off. I thought I might have hit the area too late but last year, we were up there at about the same time.
