Country..... Knox is definately in the country and the school out there is called Berne-Knox Westerlo. It is a mid-sized school. Depending on where you are going in Altamont, I believe there are different Elementary Schools until the kids reach middle school then they will probably go to Guilderland Schools (large school), good school systems. As far as the job situation - be prepared to drive - ther is not much in those towns, maybe a convienent store and a diner. Your not that far from Albany/Schenectady (25-30 min) so you may want to look for jobs there. Good Luck
