Grad student - moved to Albuquerque.
Hey everyone. I just moved to Albuquerque from Chicago and I want to thank the members of this forum for the information you've all provided. With a bit of frustration I was able to find an apartment. Next up is finding cheap furniture, areas to volunteer, and etc.
I'd like to give special thanks to mortimer and ABQConvict for their past thread comments.
For future readers -- here are a few of the threads I found useful:
Graduate Student moving to ABQ
Questions about the University of New Mexico
Relocating to UNM for grad school; need housing for under $500

Rich,
Thank you. I'm perusing the shopping, grocery, and restaurant threads as I post this. These forums are a great resource.

I agree with you - these threads are great for newcomers for whom Albuquerque is something totally different compared to the locale of origin. Thanks to all!
And just out of curiosity, how does one get a "reputation"? I keep getting notifications that I have a "reputation" comment... but when I click on it, it just connects to a message I posted... ???
