Is this a safe neighborhood? (written below) It is in the neighborhood of the airport. Is it convenient to shops? If not, what is it near? Is it considered a "nice" neighborhood? There is a rental available there.....we arrive next week for two weeks and are looking for a safe, pleasant neighborhood.

Thaxton Ave SE and Anderson Ave. SE

thanks for any info.

It's OK, but is probably most suitable for a local.

Define "convenient."

Do you want walkability? It's a bit remote.

It's best not to commit to a rental until you have seen the
area yourself - in person - not google street view. You have
to visit. Even if someone else likes it, you might not.

This advice is good though.
It's good, because it's pretty much what I said above.

It's not exactly terrible, it is just off of Ridgecrest and in walking distance of a nice little coffee shop. Other walkable places would be a pawn shop and gas station.

I would say no!!!! No good shopping around, noisy airplanes and just not a great area overall. If you can get closer to Ridgecrest, it gets nicer, but I would not recommend that area.
