What Kind Of BUGS Can I Expect To Get Into The House In Rio Rancho?
Just curious as to what type of pests get into the houses over there since it's a desert. Here in southern Virginia we get your typical spiders and silverfish, some beetle type bug, ants and FLIES. ( I hate flies).
Between using Termador & those Riddex Plus units, I have managed to keep everything out except...yes Flies <sigh>
So, what kind of critters & bugs can I expect to do battle with in RR?

She catches them one-pawed right out of the air by squeezing
the pads together. -- Amazing reflexes, those moggies have.

Not bad. My current setup of pest control will work good. The only difference would be in termite control. I believe your termites require the house to be tented vs ours which require trenching.

I have never seen tenting in this area.

black widows and roaches are probably the worst you'll run into. i've killed 2 black widows since moving here in january. and the cat got a roach. he's lucky it wasn't another black widow.

Ants are the only pests we've had problems with. The tiny ones that stink if you squash them. But pest controls comes out every year and takes care of them.

Parts of Rio Rancho have scorpions aplenty. They're largely harmless but if you're not used to seeing them...
Ants could be an issue, as well as the half-dozen other critters that rotate through the seasons (moths, roaches, flies, spiders). I think this year was a roach year in my neighborhood. Lots of caterpillars here lately too.

Haven't seen any scorpions yet. Have "dispatched" a couple of sun spiders recently.

When it gets hot, I have ants in the house. No amount of spray seems to dispatch them, they just go away again when it's a bit cooler. It seems it has to be in the high 90s for a few days before they pop up.
I've killed a couple of things that I think are Jerusalem Crickets. A few spiders, nothing like a black widow, just a thin-bodied black spider, no idea what kind. Mostly the ants.
