Smile Maybe Rio Rancho

Hi. We are a family of 5 who will be moving to the Rio Rancho (maybe) area this summer. We hope to be there in 6 weeks! We really like the idea of the Northern Rio Rancho area. However, we can't find too much information on the different subdivisions and what they have to offer. We're looking for a family friendly neighborhood with neighborhood pools, walking paths, playgrounds and walking distance to the schools is always nice (however not a necessity). Which neighborhoods should we look into to find that? Or, is that not even an option? Traffic isn't too much of an issue since my husband will be telecommuting and working from home 100% of the time. We'll likely rent for the first couple years, but are leaving the option open for rent to own or owner financing. Is there anything else you can tell me (good, bad or otherwise)? Are there other towns in that area that are similar to Rio Rancho?

Thanks!

I would think Northern Meadows might be your cup of tea. Lots of neighborhood playgrounds and I think its the nicest newer subdivision in Rio Rancho. Good luck!!

Thanks for all your help! I appreciate it. Can someone tell me more about Northern Meadows? I think we found our ideal house, but am still trying to find out more about it. The house is on Sidewinder (not sure it it's street, drive, court) that we're considering.

What elementary and middle schools would my kids go to? Pros? Cons? Is there an HOA? What are their fees? Anything else you can think of about that neighborhood?

Thanks again!
