I lived there several years and it is a nice community, with an easy commute into ABQ, if you live near I-25.

Los Lunas is the largest municipality in Valencia County and it is growing quickly. If you are in the city limits you will have good law enforcement protection and fire protection. If you live in rural Los Lunas, it is not so good.
Huning Ranch is a Master Planned Community in Los Lunas that is located on I-25; most of the families that live here commute into ABQ daily for work. It is very near the multi-screen Starlight movie theater, Chili's, Starbucks, Wild Mustang Steakhouse, Home Depot, Wal Mart Supercenter, Discount Tire, etc.

Forgot to add, there are also fast food restaurants very near Huning Ranch -- Quizno's, Del Taco, etc. There is also Brad Francis Chevrolet, Brad Francis Ford, and Tillery Pontiac, Buick, GMC is building a new dealership right on I-25 across from Brad Francis. Los Lunas is growing very fast and will only get better in the next few years. Los Lunas is a very nice place to live as long as you are inside the city limits. Rural Los Lunas not so good!

I'm with you on Huning Ranch ManzanoWolf......as i really like that area along I-25 there in Los Lunas. I was just out there a few weeks back and they are still building housing and also the new school broke ground there. I see they also broke ground on something just northwest of the exit by the interstate as it looks like it might be a new car dealership maybe.

Default Did you find a Los Lunas Mom's Club?

I too am from Ohio! I have lived in Los Lunas for a little over 2 years now. Did you find a local mom's club? I am a first time mom and would like to join one. Thanks!
