From Duke City Fix:
Happy 40th to The Frontier Restaurant - Duke City Fix
Posted on February 10, 2011

Quote:
According to owners Larry & Dorothy Rainosek, today February 10th is the 40th anniversary of the day they first opened the doors at the venerable Central Avenue dining spot. This community is indebted to the Rainoseks - not only for running a really great place to meet and eat - but for all of their philanthropy with UNM and many other community organizations.
Happy 40th to The Frontier!
It has been a favorite spot for a long time....

Rich

The Frontier is so classic (if not classy) Albuquerque. I hope they stick around for at least another 40 years.

There's a guy behind the counter who takes orders that has been there for 31 years! They must treat their employees well!

Frontier Restaurant in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 2007:

Front counter(s):

Limited parking in the rear, I usually just find a spot on the street:

Interesting outside mural around the side, the flowers, wagon wheels etc are painted:

I like the huge flag. In case I forget what country I'm in.

Also, I know the guy who painted the murals, cool guy.
