I'm pretty sure that the New Mexico constitution Article IV, Section 38 was created to stop anything like what was mentioned above actually happening :


"The legislature shall enact laws to prevent trusts, monopolies and combinations in restraint of trade."


I might be naive but I always thought State Law trumps County law. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

There are going to be restrictions and laws about zoning and food handling, of course. Bakeries are normally regulated by the USDA, not local health dept authorities like restaurants are.

I typed hearsay, but I misspelled it and the spell check changed it to heresy! I didn't think that was right, but I was in a hurry.

I've had more than my share of typing errors. It just made me chuckle when I read it .
