Yes it was a second JC's NYPD in that building for a short while but did not last...

Tried Luigi's pizza last night. It was pretty good, but I wasn't blown away or anything. Here are a few links to places I used get pizza from in Chicago and suburbs. This is what I'm missing! haha

Welcome to D'Agostino's Pizza - W. Addison
Welcome to Aurelio's Pizza
Ed n Joes-Shipping Pizzas

Please notice that at the above links, they can all ship FedEx. I haven't tried it yet, but for about $100 or so, you can get a few of the best pizzas FedExed to you. If/When the Bulls advance to the next round, I'm going to give it a try.

By the way, does anyone know where to get Giardiniera peppers(jar of chopped peppers, bits of celery, etc.) like this; Amazon.com: IL Primo Giardiniera - Marinated Pepper Mix - Mild Italian Style 16oz (3 JAR PACK) MILD: Everything Else

I used find it at this italian deli in a plaza near Albertson's by Cottonwood Mall, but it closed or moved. Thank you!

I guess you just can't find good Chicago pizza in NM, just like you would not be able to find a good New Mexican restaurant with authentic red & green chile in Chicago. They are regional delights.

I'd say that's pretty fair statement, lobo. No doubt.

The pizza here in the ABQ area is good enough for us. I sometimes miss the good Cuban food from the Calle Ocho area of Miami and the Balkan food from "Mama's" in Augsburg, but.... We plan on staying in this area at least two more years...

Have you tried Havana Cuban on Menaul? Pretty good homestyle Cuban, so far. Best flan I think I've *ever* had. Cubano was tasty but missing pickle (!), fried pork is good.

Sorry. Back to pizza!

My faves, in two major categories:
1. NY Style
Venezia's
JC's NYPD
Saggio's
(have not tried Frattelli's or Amadeo's, heard they are good)

2. "Other"
Farina - can. not. beat. them. Really amazing Naples style thin/cracker crust.
Nicky V's - not quite NY or super-thin, just really really good all around.
Il Vicino - ok, I think either they slipped or I've gotten pickier. If you like Il Vicino and have not tried Farina, you owe yourself a visit.

Others?
