It's on Isleta Blvd (still old Hwy 85 to me) in the South Valley area.

I've been to the one on 528 and the one in Bernalillo (which I think must be the 2 you're considering close to you...) Which one is which? I never saw a difference between the 2, but I only ever get breakfast burritos.

(Edit: They're burritos here... breakfast tacos is Austin terminology.)

In Rio Rancho there is one on 528 and another one on Southern Blvd, west of 528 and about 3/4's of the way to Unser. I quit eating at the one on 528...

The Twisters in Bernalillo has been there maybe three years and is pretty good.

Rich, I agree with you on the 528 Twisters. We've been there a few times wishing that the food and atmosphere had been better. Whenever I drop my car off for servicing at the Toyota dealership on Eubank near I-40, I have breakfast at the Twisters on Eubank and have never been disappointed.

I've been going there for about 10 years and the same employees keep asking whether I want that breakfast burrito to be smothered or not. You'd think they'd know by now. ;-)

What do you generally get there? I've found it so-so the times I've eaten there.

I finally made it back to Budai. I do think it's quite good. A bit pricey but at the same time I notice a difference in the general quality and freshness of the ingredients, so it may be justifiable (or close to it).

I also tried Fareast Fuzion, which is actually not bad, and quite attractive inside, unlike what you'd probably expect when viewing it from Central. It's just another eclectic Asian place, as far as I can tell, but the two things I've gotten there were good (sesame chicken, which is simply American style Chinese fare, but for what it was, it was pretty good, and I happened to be in the mood for something of just that sort; and a soba noodle dish). The restaurant stays open a little later than a lot of restaurants in the area, too.

Frontier is where I was indoctrinated in 1996. "Here, eat a breakfast burrito. You'll like it, you'll have the trots tomorrow, and you'll be hooked."

All 3 were true.

I've been quite impressed with 'street food asia' just down the street, is it similar? Better?

I haven't been to Street Food Asia, but I think the place near me probably offers a more generic selection. If I ever try Street Food (which I'd like to visit), I'll let you know my opinion.
