I haven't been back to ABQ in a while, but is Thalias still there? They served ice cold cantelope juice that was amazingly delicious. Everything else was pretty good but more mexico style than NM style.

For greek I liked the Olympia Cafe, some good stuffs there.

For indian food, my favorite was the India Kitchen (I think) their shrimp vindaloo was really really good.

For NM style mexican, gotta be sadies, but I think it was better when it was in the bowling alley and sadie was still there. Was hot enough to rip out your tongue and tie it around your neck tho i'm afraid. Loved it.

The best deli style sandwhich I found in ABQ was at Christys near the airport. I'm sure there are other good-uns around but these were yummy.

For atmosphere and quality prime rib, gotta be Pauls Monterey inn. Doesn't look like much of anything from the outside, but when you go in its like you've switched to the dark side. Prime Rib is great as is everything else.

Finally, for seafood I like pappadeaux just because I got hooked on fried softshell crabs while I was in texas, and thats where I managed to find some in Abq. Don't know if anyone else serves em.

Now clue how any of these places are currently (except the softshell crabs are still exquisit) cause I seldom get back to ABQ anymore.

Got some good recommendations here for my trips to Albuq. One thing I've noticed about Albuquerque is that there are no bad restaurants, and if one opens it lasts about two weeks before word gets around. My favorites are Sadie's, El Pinto, Powdrell's, The Range (in Bernalillo), and Scalo (but it is pricey). I like Little Anita's stuffed sopapillas too. I hardly ever go to Garduño's in Albuq., but in Las Vegas it's the best we have, even though I think they tone it down for the tourists and the service sucks. It's the only place I know of to get green chilis or sopapillas in Las Vegas.

Is The India Kitchen the one that was in a little house, or at least was very small, off of Montgomery or someplace up that way? Is it gone now?

Its been a long time, but I do think it was on Montgomery, and yes it was teeny tiny. I haven't been there for a really long time tho (bout 12 years lol) so chances that it is still there might be pretty slim.

Ok, so I did a chance and did a search, looks like its still there.

The Cajun Kitchen serves soft shell crab po-boys (may want to call ahead in case it's a seasonal item).

Thanks. It used to be run by a young Indian couple. They are probably an old Indian couple now. It was awful good as I recall.

If its even remotely good as it used to be, it will still be fantastic. Absolutely loved the place.
