Where can one find lamb, chops and other cuts as opposed to just ground, in Albuquerque. I know Keller's sells all cuts of lamb, but I am looking for something cheaper. American lamb is greatly preferred over Australian. I wasn't able to find this info in the ABQ forum, but maybe I just didn't see it.

Trader Joe's has lamb, I can't remember if it's American or Australian.

Check Costco & Sams too.

Or find someone who raises sheep in the valley and see if you can have it butchered.

I will look at costco the next time I am there, but the only thing I have noticed there is Australian rack of lamb. They do try to vary things sometimes, so maybe I'll get lucky. Thank you both for the suggestions.

Might try getting some NM lamb (not local to ABQ tho):

Cimarron Angus direct markets grass-fat lamb. The lambs are sold right off the ewes and weigh 115–125 pounds. They are sold live or processed from July though September. We use no creep feed or grain for either the ewes or lambs.

I've bought drenched racks, chops, and legs from Costco. The legs and chops were American -'d reasonably priced. The rack was NZ and extremely expensive.

None of it was as good as Keller's though. They're expensive, but you get what you pay for.
