Those single-barrel garages all around the surrounding neighborhoods
must work for a lot of people.

It's funy that the four-barrel and up garages in the far Northeast
STILL are not enough for some people's crap.
My neighbor works at UNM. Of course, I live off McMahon, so that is indeed a drive. I wouldn't think many people that work at UNM live nearby, that is the Student ghetto.

As a truck driver who parks his rig at the Flying J off of 98th and routinely rides his bike from there to around UNM for dinner when in town, this will be cake for you!!

Not as a percent of the total, but I bet more than a thousand probably do.

The Ghetto is nearby, but not all nearby neighborhoods are "The Ghetto."

I don't consider Spruce Park, Silver Hill, Nob Hill, Edo, North Campus, Summit Park,
McDuffie, Altura, Highland, Ridgecrest, Netherwood, Martineztown and others to be
the Student Ghetto, but all are locations where I would not consider using
a vehicle to commute to UNM - unless we are talking about a bicycle. (*)

Also, not all residents of the Student Ghetto are students. There is, of course,
Don Schrader AKA: The Naked Guy and some professors and such.

There was a time when I lived near Washington and Central and walked or took the bus 100% of the time.
