I don't worry about anybody "forcing" their culture on me. I choose where I live, what I wear, what I listen to, which concerts I go to, where I work, what I eat, what I worship, etc. I'm planning on moving to Albuquerque, and one of the reasons is because I want to live in a more culturally diverse area than I live in now. I am so happy that some people choose to hold on to their traditions. If they didn't, America would be a pretty dull place.

As was stated earlier diverse means different things to different people.

If people would like to talk about diversity or what diverse means in general that can be done in the general forums. Thanks.

Seems to me that ABQ better fits your definition, as Seattle is has a population largely made up of White Non-Hispanics. ABQ is one of the few places in the US where no racial demographic (officially) comprises a majority of the local population.

NM is unique for Native American - probably. But unique for Hispanic majorities? Not hardly.

I take it you haven't been to Florida, Colorado, Arizona, California or Texas lately. There are even cities in Illinois, Indiana, Georgia, Utah, New Jersey, Nevada, Maryland and Oregon with over 50% majority Hispanic populations. The Hispanic sector is the largest growing population demographic in the US.

I love hearing that kind of crap.
I remember making "snowmen" out of tumbleweeds when I lived in the Mojave as a kid. Pretty cool.

Although I must admit, I think I'd rather see tumbleweeds blowing about in NM than roofs blowing about in FL
