Downtown living?
Years ago I lived in a townhouse (4 plex) attached to a commercial property near Old Town ABQ. I loved the energy and my low maintenance, small courtyard that served as "backyard". I have been in the forest and the Burbs but long to find a loft or townhouse situation and return to that city energy- New Mexico style. Any suggestions? I am in no hurry so if there is something looming on the horizon development-wise that would be useful info.

Well, there's the lofts at the old albuquerque high school, the lofts on gold street and some newer ones I think on silver. That's all I know about. They can be a bit pricey though.

There are some great condos being built near downtown in the Barelas neighborhood. You might want to check them out, the website address is delprodo.com.
Good luck on your search!

There are new townhouses with a Flying Star cafe just starting to be built in Bernalillo near I-25 and the train station. I heard they will be modern-looking and pricey - 400k range.
