For fans of Firefly/Serenity, the 2012 Browncoat Ball will he hosted here the weekend of Saturday, September 15th.
This is the 7th (I think) occurrence of this extremely geeks (but apparently very fun) event, and it'll be cool to see how ABQ shows off to the national sci-fi crowd.
I'm excited as heck, but then, I'm a rabid Firefly fan.
There's not a lot of info, yet, as plans are still being planned, but here's the details from last year:
