OK, I need to call to get it installed but the rates are about 15 cents/kwh for on peak and 6 cents/kwh for off peak. In the winter, peak is 630-9am and 430-1030pm. In the summer, peak is 430-1030pm.
Makes you think about investing in a bunch of different timed appliances (especially a washing machine or dryer).
Electricity: $100
Gas (nobody much W of the Mississippi uses oil for heating): $70 ($30 in summer, $130 in winter)
Water: $50 (if you have a lawn and water in the summer), $30 (if you don't)
TV & Internet: $120 (for decent cable and high-speed internet).
The utility companies for gas and electric can also tell you the "high" and "low" costs for those utilities at the specific address you might be moving to. I don't know about water though.
I used to live in a 3 bedroom house with my ex and here are the estimates on those utilities for the two of us:
Water: no more than $15 in the cooler months with no watering & no more than $40 with some lawn watering
Gas: Usually $10, this is the minimal charge whether you use gas or not. We did quite a bit of gas cooktop cooking also. If you start using over their certain "minimal" amount then your bill starts going up
Electricity: About $35-40 and we tried to conserve on heating/cooling/running unnecessary lights
Comcast internet and cable: $75
Thanks for all of the replies, I really appreciate them.
