Any opinion on the best route based on traffic patterns? 40 East or up 25 north and then over?

I'll be coming from the airport and am new to the area. I have not been out on either highway going north or east that time of day...

I'd pick 40 to 14- more direct, more scenic.

Agreed...

That northern route Waldo Canyon Rd, hiway 57 is a dirt road... Have had to turn back once and is slow going on the best days...
