So Rybert, now that you've been back a while have you regreted your decision to come home at all? What do you miss about Houston, and more importantly why are you happy to be back. I ask because those who leave and end up coming back seem to do so with much more affection for our unique city. Is this true with you?

We LOVE being back in ABQ! You don't know what you've got 'till it's gone!

I miss some things about Houston; better movie theaters, sky scrapers, Super-Cars to gawk at, etc. However, I've never been happier in my life than for the past 6 months.

Working in Architecture you really need to care about your surroundings, I didn't in Houston, but REALLY care here. I work harder because whatever I design, I have to live with, look at, etc.

I went snowboarding 10+ times this winter, something that would have been WAY too expensive if we were still living in Houston. You have to make sacrafices in both cities... we made the ones that were less painful (I can live without staring at someone else's Lamborghini, Bentley, or Ferrari).

I will say that my in-laws are DRIVING ME UP THE FREAKIN' WALL, but my Wife and I have a plan to control them a bit more.

I know what you mean, that is the first one I have ever seen in ABQ, I use to find them all the time in Portales but those were light brown-more like a gravel-sand color.

I know, I didnt realize how green it got up there, I felt like I was in another town.

I sure would love to have a house that had a backyard that looked like the 3rd pic.
