Well, beyond my own personal interest / curiosity in the town (which led me to just navigating all the hell over), I had jobs in ABQ that took me all out and about all over, which was a good / effective way of seeing every nook and cranny of the Duke City.

Awesome man, can't wait to see 'em!

PS: Special request: Don't forget the occasional palm tree photo if you would catch one every now and then!

As always sun, your photos are an inspiration!!! Truly classic, and much appreciated!!! Is that El Mezquite Market new? I remember going there, however, didn't think that the building looked like that. Also, where is Viva Mexico!? I am pretty sure I would spend $48 on lunch there.

thanks for the kind words and I will have to get you a couple palm pics sometime soon. That El Mezquite Market pic is new and is located at San Pedro and Central. The pic under it is also in the same location and they are all apart of a new plaza that went in last year I think.

Viva Mexico is on Wyoming a few blocks before you hit Central.

That would be fantastic man, thanks!!

In my latest Albuquerque The Magazine, there was an upscale developer with an ad, and all of their drawings / "after" photos all included cold hardy palms in ABQ residential development - awesome to see! The palms I am sure are loving the hot, dry summer ABQ's had this year.

Ah, extremely interesting - thanks! The El Mezquite Market I always went to (or at least I *think* this was El Mezquite) was on 4th St. near Montano.

I think that was El Mezquite too. Whatever in the hell it was, the chicharrones never let this gringo down!!

There is about a 340% probability that I will be embarking on that place on my next venture into the Duke City. People yap here on about the "War Zone" all the time, but this gringo would venture all the time down on Central (places like Ay Carumba! on Zuni) after dark for good Mexican.

Exactly. When I was a kid (20 years ago) every summer was spend catching lizards and horny toads. Once, at Supper Rock Park, we caught so many we had to bring them home in a wagon. This summer I went back and tried to find some to show my nephew. Spent two days in the foot hills and couldn't find a one.

Oh well, here's my photo contribution. A Frontier burrito
