We're having a Hatfields and McCoys family issue: casino vs. balloon fiesta. Is there a decent view of the Mass Ascension from the Sandia Casino? If so, I think we've solved our problem. Or is there another place to get a good view without actually going into the fiesta park?

Signed,

Exhausted Santa Fean with out-of-town relatives.

I've been told by multiple people that the view from the top floor restaurant is awesome during Fiesta. Haven't tried it myself though.

The Casino is about 2 miles Northeast of the balloon park. You should have a good view, especially if the balloons head north, the sun will be at your back. Have chased balloons in the area in the past. I have never gone to the Casino during balloon fiesta.
