We don't eat out too much, so I really only have one restaurant (non-New Mexican) that I highly recommend. It's called (Joe's) Pasta House. It's on Southern Blvd. in Rio Rancho!

Has anyone tried the place that advertises Mexican & Greek food??!!??
We have enjoyed all of the restaurants that we have tried so far. I can't make a list of top 5, because we've only been here 5 days. However, I have a question...
Is there anywhere in ABQ where I could get "down home" southern/midwestern food? What if I want collard greens, pecan pie, pot roast, etc.?

That is the fast foot place on Lomas and San Mateo! I forget their new name..it changed about a year ago...however, it is GREAT (the Mexican food) for cheap, fast food! In fact, I almost should've put it on my list.
Good stuff. But I would stick with the Mexican. I think Greek-wise, you could probably do better elsewhere.

Try places like Murphy's Mule Barn, the Owl Cafe (on I-40 and Eubank), the Frontier, the Flying Star, etc.

Well you can't get any Pecan (pronounced Pee-can) pie in these parts, but you sure can enjoy a great Pecan (pronounced Pa-con) pie. New Mexico is the second largest producer of Pecans in the nation (second to Georgia).
I don't know how to help you though with Collard Greens, sorry!
Best of luck in your search though!

I agree with EnjoyEP on this one: Murphy's Mule Barn is where you want to go for "comfort foods".
