Default Food's brown, hot and there's plenty of it.

I've got to throw in an 'other'. I spent some time in the Los Lunas / Belen area and ran across a place called Burritos Alinstante. In the days of the 'Biggest Loser' and such, I feel particularly guilty admitting that some days every meal came from them. What can I say? They've got lots of options and the food's good. Like ABQConvict, I will eat carne adovada in combination with anything, and they do a great job of honoring the carne.

1. Burritos Alinstante

2. Blake's Lotaburger (if the decision was just based on total number of visits, Blake's would have taken my top slot hands down.)

3. Weck's (Huevos Rancheros christmas, eggs over easy on a flour tortilla with a side of carne adovada (see above). What's not to like?

They have a Burritos Alinstante on the West Side of ABQ. It isn't as good. Stick with the ones in Los Lunas! That and Benny's!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up abqsunport. I got myself hungry writing my own post and check their website to see if there were any locations up my way yet. You just saved me a trip cross town. I'm not surprised. It really seemed special for what it was down there. Now I know it was more than just the theme.

MamaShay, I can personally attest that the Taco Cabana on Montgomery @ Wyoming is just as good as the one I used to frequent on Westheimer in Houston

Except their patio isn't as lively late night as the Houston spot was

You know what yukon? Part of that is because they won't let you have an adult beverage after sunset. I can easily see why they wouldn't...limiting the rowdy crowd...however, I think that kind of cuts down on the nighttime liveliness!
