Default It's Alb for us

We got back last night from a 2 week trip out west. We visited Reno, Alb, Las Cruces and El Paso, From the minute we got into Alb we felt comfortable and at home. We went to Reno first and it was a definite no go for us. Then we went to Alb and from there drove down to Las Cruces and then on to El Paso. Without meaning to insult anyone's home town we found nothing appealing anywhere except in Alb. The homes were fairly similar in each place with the only difference being price but Alb (for us) had the most to offer and it was an easy decision to make. We won't be moving until after my wife retires next year and we sell our house. She will make another trip to Alb just to reconfirm our decision.

Wow! This is turning into an exciting day ~ first jrod and now you, Norm.

CONGRATULATIONS on your decision. I am glad the trip and the visits to several cities was what made your decision for you! Nothing like on-site research to make it all clear.

Bet you are excited today!!!

Now you see why all the rest of us moved here! Since you have a year before the move, try to visit ABQ during the other seasons so you can see it at its' best and worst. Welcome, early!

Hmmm moving from Long Island to ABQ is a huge change! My grandparents used to visit me and my mom in Santa Fe from Long Island and they absolutely loved it here, I hope it works out for you!

Congrats on your decision. As one former LI resident to another, you'll love it. You can BREATHE out here, and the overall feel of the area is much less stressful. Definitely come back and visit the city again in the fall - I think that's the best season!
