Oh I see you live in the foothills Mortimer. Okay, so maybe you take it personal that I don't care for that side of town....I don't mean to get you upset.

My original point was that half of the city lies East of San Mateo.
Your original point was:
"... anywhere east of San Mateo is still kind of sketchy ...."
Forget the 87122 zip code. Use the 87111 zip code for all I care.

Who lives South of Washington?

What area? East of San Mateo? The 87110 zip code?
> No need for personal attacks.
You mean like "Do you even know Albuquerque?"

Mortimer, as I live in 87122, I can see your point. I will agree with Kharing sorta that I wouldn't live E of San Mateo and West of Lousiana, S of Lomas. However, I would and do live in 87122, I would live in 87111, 87109, 87113, etc. I would say that things East of San Mateo are often safer than those west (ie on Menual). So I guess we should be a little bit more clear when we bisect an entire city ;-).

S of Lomas / N of Central between San Mateo and San Pedro (Area #1 )seems pretty nice to me.
I have lived there in those simple homes.
I'm thinking that S of Lomas / N of Central / E of Louisiana / W of Wyoming (Area #2) is getting "War-zone-ish."
I don't have personal experience living in Area #2.
I *did* have someone hit my car on Central near Pennsylvania and beat it into Area #2.
I followed (chased) a bit and decided that I would rather deal with my new gash than (gash + bullet hole)s.
You'll find lots of those diagonal street-diverters there in Area #2,
but you'll find none that I know of in Area #1
S of CENTRAL / E of San Mateo / W of San Pedro, again, is not somewhere I'd choose to plop.
> guess we should be a little bit more clear when we bisect an entire city ;-).
I see you got my original point.

Given that this is a post about "Nob Hill", one would assume that a statement about which direction from San Mateo they would not live, that they were referring to that section of Albuquerque in close proximity to "Nob Hill".
Of course, I'm sure context is irrelevant.

The thread originally, was (is) "what/where is Nob Hill?"
E of Washington is not Nob Hill. Therefore E of San Mateo is also not.
The claim was that anything E of San Mateo is undesireable was simply wrong. For readers of this thread not familiar to the area, letting such a statement stand would be wrong.
My reference to any zip code such as 87110 or 87122 was obviously hyperbole which was used to illustrate a point. The fact that anyone failed to recognize it as hyperbole is unfortunate.
