Default Pro's Ranch Market

Yesterday, I shopped at a brand new Mexican grocery store on Central west of Atrisco, called Pro's Ranch Market.

This place has everything imaginable: tortillas made on site, a wide assortment of seafood, a huge meat market, abundant fresh fruits and vegetables, and a restaurant.

Apparently, it's a chain with several stores in California and Arizona.

I'm glad they decided to put one in Albuquerque. In a weird way, I had the same feeling walking down its aisles as I did while walking through the Apple Store that opened in Abq Uptown not too long ago.

What's even better is the company invested $20 million into the entire shopping center and adding jobs to an area in desperate need of this. The entire area was blighted and investments like this can go a long way in revitalizing Atrisco.

Foodenthusiast is on a distinguished road
I went to the Ranch Market/Atrisco with friends last Friday and we all liked it. It reminds me a great deal of the old Farmers Market in Los Angeles, and that's a compliment. I actually can hardly wait to go back and check it out a little more closely.
